He Loves It!
We needed a new kennel for our standard poodle, Olav, as he outgrew his old one and he really likes going into his kennel. This one is tall enough for him while standing or sitting. My husband put it together pretty quickly and didn’t have any issues. We did add some pads to the bottom of the leg pieces to protect the floor. The padding that’s included for the bottom of the kennel is a nice touch. Olav gives his kennel four paws up! (He’s 61 pounds and about 29″ from floor to top of his head when sitting)

Question
Is there a plastic pan that goes on the floor of the crate? I’ve ordered four of these crates. The first two came with pans. The last two I’ve gotten do not have them. It is H on the parts list. I can’t find any way to contact Dwanton and my only option with Amazon seems to be to return the whole thing. Can’t seem to talk to them anymore?

Locks?
The locks on this crate are not that well. My dog was able to get out of the crate. Although the locks are not good, the crate is absolutely stunning.

Nice quality, easy to put together.
I was looking for a crate for my tiny terrorist aka Frankie the weenie dog. He does not like to be in a crate but he will chew thru a wall if left unattended for 20 minutes. I wanted something that would give him plenty of space yet be comfy. I bought 2 of these, size small. I cut the metal doors off of opposite ends and pushed them together. I screwed a piece of wood on the back to hold the 2 crates together, then screwed a piece of wood onto the front of the crates where there was a gap. Now he has plenty of room and can see out. I mounted a ring camera on the wall aimed into the crates. I put an outdoor cushion on top – my 80lb Staffy/Pittie is happy as she can see out the window. The mats that came with the crates are definitely not weenie proof. He had one chewed up in about 5 minutes. I’ve ordered a heavy duty chew resistant pad to go in its place. Frankie still doesn’t like the crate but now he has room to stomp back and forth while screaming his head off! Will see how durable it is when he spends more time in it.

Great Addition to the Home
I finally went with something more permanent and do not regret my decision. These were easy to assemble and look unique compared to standard wire crates in the home. Also, you can set items on top and decorate to incorporate them more into your home. I have two large snow dogs who love their new houses, and they have withstood the general wear and tear without any issues. I definitely recommend this product if you need a more esthetically looking kennel system in your home.

Worth it!
I got this to put into our living room so for quick trips we didn’t have to bring the dog upstairs each time we needed to leave. It was super easy to put together and it looks nice. He has plenty of room to move around and be comfortable. I’m definitely happy with this.

Looks nice
While this kennel does look nice. It was kind of a pain to put together. One screw only wanted to go in sideways so I left it for my husband to put in when he got back from traveling… and lost it before then…The latches aren’t completely lined up with the holes so they are hard(ish) to open. BUT my dog kept escaping his old kennel and my toddler hasn’t figured out how to open it so I’m not totally complaining about that.I like that it has a back to it, my dog was scratching at the walls and we just remodeled the room is in so that was one thing I was looking for in a kennel.I also like that it came with a pad- I haven’t let my dog use it yet, he’s still in his puppy phase and likes to chew so I knew it would get destroyed immediately. But I did save that for when he learns to be a good boy!

Beautiful crate, definitely not heavy duty
We got this crate for our 4 month old puppy. It looked beautiful and he seemed to love it. However our puppy is a biter and he went rough on the crate, which did not hold. After a couple weeks he managed to actually pop the gate open and get out of the crate. Just something to consider if you’re looking for something sturdier.

Looks good, latch sticks
I bought it because I have it out in the open and didn’t want a plain metal one. I had a little difficulty putting it together by myself, having a second set of hands to hold it would have been better. The only problem is that the latch is sticky and I have to jiggle it to get it in and out, it doesn’t match up properly and there is nothing I can do about it. 🙁

Kennel Lock
Everything was easy to put together, quality was good. Material looks good. However, the door lock on the big door is soooooo hard to lock and unlock. It’s a struggle every time you try to open and let your dog out. Or put him in and lock him up. It’s like it gets stuck or jam when you try to lock or unlock it. Would have been a 5 star if that part was working good.

Beautiful piece
It is a beautiful piece of furniture (stand) to add to our living room with the convenience of also being our pups “bedroom”. She loves it, it’s spacious & comfortable for her. I did buy another dog bed to put inside as the one that comes with it is very thin. Was easy to put together. My only small complaint is that the locking mechanisms for the door are not the best. They stick, I have to shimmy them a bit when opening & closing, but they work.

Measurements are incorrect
This crate looks nice and will do the job, but I was really disappointed to find discrepancies between the measurements included in the description and the actual measurements. It says it’s 26.8” deep – it’s not. It’s not even 24” deep. It also says it’s 38.5” wide – again, it’s not. It’s 37.5. It’s not a lot different, but why not list accurate measurements? It’s not worth it to take apart and return, and I do like the look of it but the inaccurate measurements would make me hesitant to buy from this seller again.

Love it!
XL, 43″, rustic. Heavy box! Had to open it and take it in, in pieces. Went together like butter! So easy! I also bought some shelves for the top to put some dog and pretty stuff on. My 4 year old, 85 lb puppy is skeptical tho… I hope he gets used to it, because it’s hard to move put together, by myself….

It is very cute but isn’t of the highest quality
Don’t get me wrong I love how this crate looks compared to others. There are just some designs to it that are not of great quality. It arrived damaged but luckily it was on parts of the crate that wasn’t visible. Honestly that is definitely not the company’s fault. But the pad that comes with it is very thin and isn’t very cushioning. I went to clean out the kennel today and realized that the stabilizer on the bottom has been ripped out. I still love it but if you have a dog that weights 60+ pounds just be aware that the bottom screw to the joint that stabilizes the bottom can and probably will pop off.

I have two small dogs and both fit comfortably together in the medium sized kennel. I was surprised by the easy assembly. It was up and ready to go in less than half an hour. It’s sturdy and looks great in my living room.

Sturdy, beautiful, but uncomfortable.
I ordered this crate for my 70lb mix breed – The large size – he is approximately lab-ish in size. This crate fits, but it is an exact perfect fit with little to no room for larger bowls for feeding/water. If you are looking to house your dog for anything other than quick outings or sleep, then I suggest purchasing a size larger than the specifications say you need.Pros – Solid top has so far held up well to having a 30 pound tub of food on the corner and a box of toys in the center. It allows for moderate storage space. The solid back panel allowed me to safely place the kennel by my window where he can get sun, but not grab my curtains or chew on the windowsill.Cons – Tight space for dogs on the larger end. When it says up to – that is the exact maximum. I was expecting there to be a bit more internal space. The latches on each door catch in a funky way while trying to open. I’ll be trying WD-40 to allow them to move easier once I know my dog will not chew on the bars. the pad for the bottom is just that, a thin pad with little to no real pillow. If you have an older dog or one needing joint support, I suggest finding a thicker pad that will fit.Overall – my dog seems comfortable when he curls up to sleep, though he seems frustrated and uncomfortable if I have to run out for errands during the day (2-3 hour outings). If you allow your dog to roam during the day or just use the crate as a safe space to lounge, this will be fine. If not, I highly suggest buying a size up. The size can work great for dogs smaller than the recommended sizing guides, and you may need a kennel wall bowl to give them all the room to stretch out. Padding is inadequate for older dogs but fine for younger dogs, or those that may shred larger pads.

I absolutely love this kennel. I like that it has 2 doors. I actually use this as a table top to keep my digs food, treats and basket of most toys. I have a puppy Jack Russell and he loves his kennel and I love the clean look.

Great Kennel and Piece of Furniture
I use this to occasionally house my 10lb chi-mix. He’s a little gentleman that is pad and yard trained. I like for him to have the option to potty when I’m asleep or not home. The cot in this kennel is one of many beds that I have strewn about and he likes to be in the kennel whenever he feels anxious.I use the kennel as and end table and it’s pretty sturdy and suits the aesthetic of my space.

Works very well for dog crate
I bought this to save space with our yorkiepoo’s crate (since he seldom is in it) and my daughter has a very small room. I liked that it claims to hold quite a bit of weight. We currently have a 10 gallon aquarium on it. It is a bit wobbly if you jump around near it but it serves the purpose. I do not think I would put any more weight on it though or it may bow over time. I will update if it bows on us.

Perfect all around
I have 2 cats, One shown in the picture! But this is the cutest little crate for bedtime!Unfortunately as my 2nd gets older I’ll have to get something bigger but I did see another review of a lady putting 2 together some by side so ill probably do that but this little crate took maybe 20 mins to put together. It was super easy! The little mat it came isn’t the thickest so ill eventually replace that but still 5/5 stars! Love it and highly recommend!

Solid crate

Exactly what I was looking for
Purchased this crate for my new puppy who chewed through a portable soft sided crate and I wanted something that was more a piece of functional furniture. It has not disappointed. I purposefully installed the front panel upside down as I needed it to open to the left rather than the right. This makes it more difficult to close and you can’t securely lock the front door but my intention was/is to leave it open for the most part. If you need the crate to lock securely then I don’t suggest altering the assembly as I did unless you are willing to get creative. The crate mat provided wasn’t to my liking (not washable and very thin) so I put it up against the inside back of the crate to create a soft back panel and I purchased a memory foam anti anxiety mat that has a washable cover and is easier on the joints. I also used a black side door window privacy curtain across the top that functions as a sort of table runner and gives my pup more privacy in his “room” and helps keep him warm as he’s a small chihuahua (10lbs) who tends to run on the cold side. With the added mat and a big fluffy blanket it makes the crate feel more like a den to him. He likes it and will go in and out throughout the day.Overall the crate is very well liked by my dog and it fits in beautifully as a piece of furniture.

Really nice
I purchased this for my small Chorkie. I wanted something that didn’t look so much like the traditional cage. This matches my furniture very nice and it looks just like the picture and description. This is my dog’s sanctuary and she loves it. We don’t lock it but it does have a latch, to do so, if you wanted or needed to. Fairly easy assembly as well.

Perfect size!
My puppy is loving her new place. This is more than a crate this is her own little space and it goes well with our existing furniture. It only took me about 30 minutes to put it together. I didn’t use the Allen wrench I used my drill.For reference she is 15lbs, 21” tall and 26” long.

Pretty Nice
Fit and finish are not perfect as with any self-assembled furniture. Some of the screws had to be forced into the screw holes but worked out just fine. Extra feet and screws are provided if needed. I believe this is an artificial wood laminate. It still looks good. Some of the laminate was separating from it’s particle board base. I repaired it with epoxy. If you have to have this in your family room, it looks much better than a standard dog crate. For our application we will be putting two teacup shi tzus in this pen together.

Size up
This cage is a little smaller than the other on I have pictured. I guess I thought my current cage was the same size. Love the look of the table than the black cage. Is is a little heavy. When picking it up from the edges of the top it was kind of bending. So it doesn’t feel super secure. But it does the job. I like the option of the 2 doors as well. With the way I built it I am only using the one of the side. It was easy to build. I a not so handy person built it with no issues in about 45 minutes.

Nice cage
Nice piece when put together. The instructions were clear. My only complaint was attaching the middle bracket to the top and bottom was a bit difficult. I had to have my son hold it from the back because the screw kept sliding. That’s the only part that took a long time. My pup loves it though

Beautiful and sturdy
I love the style of this crate, and the wood top and back are much more attractive in my family room than a 100% wire crate. The pad is lightweight enough to wash. But…as someone who has had about ten similar crates over the past twenty years, I have to say the latches are tricky and difficult to open and close. That is the only negative I could find, however.

Love it!
Wanted something that looked better than the typical metal kennel. It’s classy looking and it was honestly really easy to assemble.

Looks Fantastic
This dog crate looks fantastic in my upscale dining room. Do not expect this crate to be real wood; it is an MDF veneer that mimics wood. The crate is sturdy and does not wobble; I chose not to screw in the metal L brackets for fear of splitting the MDF veneer. The metal bars are not flimsy, and the locks are easy to use.

Walter likes his little Crate
The instructions were a little confusing, but nothing we could not figure out. Walter’s house is very nice looking and matches our furniture perfectly!! The little cushion inside will need to be replaced soon and is not of good quality, but not a huge deal.

Great crate!
I bought this to replace my night stand because my dog can’t sleep without us in the same room. This is a nice crate! It looks good and works great!! I have a dachshund and he fits perfectly in here. I love the hard top. You will need to add extra padding because the pad it comes with isn’t very soft. Great buy!

This kennel is average overall.Pros:Looks greatEasy to assembleSturdy not wobblyCons:Probably won’t work if your dog test boundaries on cratesActual metal Crate material is flimsy in comparison to a normal metal crateWith 3 open sides your dog may feel a bit exposed making them uncomfortableOverall I have a golden retriever who won’t test boundaries but is anxious. We will definitely have to cover 2 of the three open sides so she doesn’t feel so exposed but I think she will get used to it with some time!
